The Atlantica Party is pleased to release its Five Point Democracy Plan for Nova Scotians. Both of our candidates, Dan Wilson (Glace Bay) and Jonathan Dean (Yarmouth) will be campaigning on these reforms in the coming weeks, reforms that are vital to our democracy’s health.
FIVE POINT DEMOCRACY PLAN

How can you support fixed election dates AND recall? Recall means elections will be called as necessary and not on fixed dates.

There is no conflict at all. Recall elections would simply fit within the framework of the dates. I would assume that if a recall is affected close to a general election Elections Nova Scotia may hold off for a few months in order to synchronize the two ballots. The only side-effect is that a new MLA due to a recall may only sit for say a year or two and then go through a general again.
